The Alkari Union Space Wings

The Alkari have not presently been allowed to use organic armor or any of the most advanced Grand Alliance ships and use only their own ships, all of which so far are designs that performed well during the last war with minimal upgrades. They mount advanced polymer armor for extra speed and manueverability, as well as Confederation stealth systems.

Fr'lageti class Dreadnaught

The largest ships in the Space Wings, each of the Wings are built around one of these ships. They are flagships of the Alkari fleets and their standard organization has them protecting five carriers each. They mount eight photon cannons fore and aft, three to each side, as well as twenty-eight capital-class missile launchers. Ten are aimed forward, while the other eighteen are on turrets, nine on each side, that can fire forward, aft, or perform broadside bombardment. It is also defended by forty photon turrets against fighters in each arc.

F'larden class Fleet Carrier

The main offensive and defensive arm of the Alkari Space Wings, the F'lardens carry ten squadrons of small craft into battle each. Mounting two forward firing photon cannons and five launchers capable of firing bomber-class missiles, they can be used in a pinch in warship battles, but standard doctrine tells them to stand back as their escorts handle the matter. They also carry twenty photon turrets in each arc in case they are mobbed by small craft or corvettes.

S'ranan class Cruiser

Mounting six photon cannons fore and aft, four into each broadside, six capital-class missile bays, and and twenty photon turrets into each arc, they are the primary battler of the Alkari warship line. Also mounting heavier armor then most other escorts, they can absorb more damage before being forced to retreat from battle, making them a valuable resource for all Space Wings.

T'rannel class Destroyer

Mounting two photon cannons into each arc, three capital-class missile bays, and eight photon turrets into each arc, these ships often are used to support cruisers in line battles.

Y'ranna class Frigate

The Y'ranna mounts three forward firing photon cannons, two capital-class missile bays, and fourteen photon turrets in each arc. She often is used to command patrols and to support destroyers and cruisers in battleline engagements.

W'rnal class Corvette

Mounting a single photon cannon forward and twelve photon turrets into each arc, the standard corvette can rarely last in battleline engagement but is used regularly as a patrol ship in Alkari systems. Many times they have used their photon cannon to strip a smuggler of his or her engines in order to bring it to heel.

T'rana class Command Corvette

Replacing the photon cannon with a capital-class missile bay but maintaining the twelve photon turrets in each arc, the T'ranas also carry heavier armor and do not often fight at close ranges. They prefer to stand back and pummel the enemy from long range in support of other corvettes.

New technology incorporated into many Confederation small craft classes allows for the use of modular equipment packs that allow them to have more abilities then the older versions did. Some craft can only support 1 mount while others support 2 mounts. A heavy mount will usually drop speed and agility by 1 but boost another stat by 2. A light mount will usually drop only agility by 1 and boost another stat by 1. Two light mounts will have the same detrimental effects as a single heavy mount. A craft that can carry two mounts must always maintain balance with the same equipment packs on each side of the craft, so bonuses and detrimental effects are doubled.

Light Weapons Pack - Weaponry: +1

Heavy Sensor Pack - Sensor: +2

Light Sensor Pack - Sensor: +1

Heavy Fuel Pack - Range: +2

Light Fuel Pack - Range: +1

The following packs can be used to increase speed or agility. When used, the light engine pack will counteract the loss of speed when adding a second light pack and push the second point loss over to agility. The light manuevering pack does the opposite, pushing the first point loss of agility over to speed. As they countereffect each other, they are never used in tandem. Also, the engine and manuevering packs effect only their opposite stat for detrimental effects.

Light Engine Pack - Speed: +1

Heavy Manuevering Pack - Agility: +2

Light Manuevering Pack - Agility: +1

H'tara class Atmospheric Fighter

Mainly used in system security grids, this fighter can fight in space or in atmosphere. It only mounts one photon cannon, but does have better then average sensors for a fighter.

Sensor: 2 Speed: 3 Range: 3 Agility: 7 Weaponry: 1

K'falen class Fighter

Mounting two photon cannons and a mount capable of accepting heavy weapons packs (HWP), the K'falen is the standard fighter of the Alkari fighter wings. The new MK 13 version of the fighter is capable of supporting more equipment packs, including sensors and extra engines. The mount can hold one heavy pack or two light packs.

HWP version - Sensor: 1 Speed: 2 Range: 3 Agility: 6 Weaponry: 4

No WP and MK 13 Base version - Sensor: 1 Speed: 3 Range: 3 Agility: 7 Weaponry: 2

F'rqualen class Bomber

This class of small craft mounts two electron cannons beneath the cockpit and can carry two heavy or light weapons packs into battle. The Mark 28 is a refitted version of the bomber with mounts capable of handling more stress then previous designs. This allows for a larger variety of capabilities then older versions. The Mark 28 can carry a single set of heavy packs or two sets of light packs.

LWP version - Sensor: 1 Speed: 2 Range: 3 Agility: 4 Weaponry: 6

LWP version - Sensor: 1 Speed: 3 Range: 3 Agility: 5 Weaponry: 4

no WP and MK 28 Base version - Sensor: 1 Speed: 4 Range: 3 Agility: 6 Weaponry: 2

G'reel class Gunboat

The G'reel sports much better sensors then most small craft, along with two photon cannons and four small photon lasers. Two mounts capable of supporting heavy or light weapons packs round out its armament capabilities and making it the most powerful small craft in the Alkari Space Wings. The Mark 21 is another new version with the capability of handling a set of the new heavy equipment packs or two of the light packs.

HWP version - Sensor: 3 Speed: 3 Range: 3 Agility: 5 Weaponry: 7

LWP version - Sensor: 3 Speed: 4 Range: 3 Agility: 6 Weaponry: 5

no WP and MK 21 Base version - Sensor: 3 Speed: 5 Range: 3 Agility: 7 Weaponry: 3

H'ragen class AWACS

Designed to carry as many sensors as possible, the H'ragen is a superior craft for its intended use. It is however not very fast and only mounts three photon lasers, making it of minimal use in battle.

Sensor: 7 Speed: 2 Range: 4 Agility: 2 Weaponry: 1
