The Compact Invasion

Unlike most of Terra's Pryde's quick slash and conquer campaigns though, the Saint Ives Invasion was a slow, grinding, slugfest. First Pryde took heavy casualties, losing a full third of its mechwarriors and half of her aerospace pilots. 'Mech and fighter losses were even heavier, and when the war came to an end in 3062, First Pryde had barely more then two companies and two aerospace squadrons operational.

But as the Pryde jumpships and dropships left the defeated Compact behind, they were accompanied by an ex-Compact Fortress carrying an effective mixed company and many St. Ives refugees and dispossed warriors. Between them, the dropships carried a full battalion worth of heavily damaged but salvageable 'mechs and vehicles, including many newer Capellan designs.
