Overview:

Leopard Armor of Terra designed the Rhino in 2667 to have powerful weapons at long range. Other considerations were plainly secondary, as any Rhino crewman will agree. When PRI pushed out the final concept of their new Rhino in December   of 3062 however some modifications were made. The crew area was made more comfortable, though it is still substandard compared to many designs, but the ammunition storage area was not upgraded and is still ill-protected. Also, they did not change the engine at all, leaving the Rhino among the slowest military vehicles ever produced.

Capabilities:

When it appeared in 2669 to anchor defensive lines, the Rhino impressed commanders with its weaponry and thick slab armor. The PRI engineers lowered the armor weight, but replaced it with Rock Hard 2 Ferro-Fibrous, effectively increasing the protection level over the turret. Though still uncomfortable, the Rhino offers one of the nastiest weapons packages available. The Rhino relies mostly on its four Fireswarm-C missile launchers, three in the turret and one replacing the old Conan in the hull, but it also carries Farstar-C lasers in its turret in case it runs out of missiles.

The LRM launchers provide heavy support for armored companies, with the effect of a miniature artillery barrage. Notably absent from the Rhino is a Cellular Ammunition Storage Equipment system for the missile reloads.

Deployment

As of July 23, 3063, Our agents have confirmed that four of these craft have been sent to an unidentified Com Guard Division. Unfortunately, we have lost two men before they could complete their data transfer. Unless we get more resources, PRI's security will continue to be a major annoyance.
