Overview:
Originally placed General Kerensky's desk in 2741, the plans for this design showed armor nearly as heavy an entire light 'Mech, with the firepower to destroy mediums in a single salvo. She was a showpiece of new electronics and communications technologies and fought well throughout the Amaris War. When it came time to build the fourth 'Mech of the Dirty Dozen as Pryde Rock engineers had begun to call their 'Mechs, the King Crab was their most favored choice. The first new King Crab saw the light of day in September of 3060.

Capabilites:
Upgraded to carry twin Nutcruncher-C heavy autocannons and a Fireswarm-C heavy missile system in place of her older weaponry, this 'Mech has a fire projection advantage over her previous rendition that can hardly be overestimated. If the old one could kill mediums in one salvo, this would can easily kill heavies. The only hold over of the original design's armaments is the Exostar Large Laser in her right torso.

Unfortunately, even with 2 extra heat sinks added, giving her four heatsinks total in her legs, firing both autocannons at high-fire rate quickly overheats the machine so pilots must use that capability sparingly.

That last upgrade for this 'Mech was adding 1 tonne of Ferro-Fibrous armor, giving this version of the King Crab even more massive protection then its Star League era predecessor.

Deployment
As with most present Comstar construction, half of the King Crabs produced go to the Com Guards, with the other half going to the Rasalhague Kungsarme. Terra's Pryde is also rumored to field at least one of these 'mechs, but none have yet been seen in their colors.
