Second Regulan Hussars Invade Bismarck!

One day ago, claiming Bismarck to be an ancestral possession, the Principality of Regulus invaded Rim Commonality space. The Regulan fleet, composed of nearly a dozen Shiva-class frigates and supported by Parvathi assault ships, easily dispatched the defensive forces arrayed by the Rim. With aerospace superiority established, the Second Regulan Hussars deployed around Bismarck's capital and have demanded it to surrender to its rightful rulers.

At this time, Bismarck's defensive forces have sortied numerous times to drive the Second Hussars away, but have been defeated at every turn. Experts doubt the world will be able to hold out for more than a few days without outside support from the main Rim Commonality armed forces.

Initial reactions from other League governments are muted, with many saying off the record that it is better the Rim than them. Only Kristen Marik of the Marik-Stewart Commonwealth has been available to publicly stand against the invasion. Colonel D'Arcy has welcomed the Marik's kind words. She also welcomes the Commonwealth to act on Kristen Marik's words, but at this time no measurable military response has been detected.

This is the greatest test of the Regulan power since they absorbed the Regulan Free States in 3093, an invasion that was easily completed. The occupation has proven to be much more difficult though, having held the Second Hussar's attention from then till now. The Rim Commonality certainly has greater capabilities than those three systems, but most analysts believe that they will be heavily outmatched should the Regulans devote more resources to the assault.
