Overview:
The Shuang Gou was designed to be a small, manueverable heavy weapons platform meant to get into position and salvo weapons fire into enemy ships. Her twin heavy particle cannons are capable of breaching other WarShips' armor though her own armor especially on the aft end is vulnerable to even light weapons fire. Forward facing weapons are impressive, but her aft defenses are as light as her armor. Some questioned the wisdom of making a frigate with such weaknesses, but St. Ives Military Command were too impressed with its heavy foreward firepower.
Shuang Gous deploy in squadron strength, supporting other WarShips, and it is common to see entire squadrons of them swooping in out of nowhere to focus fire on a single target. This deployment and combat style have kept casualties low for the Shuang Gous, but many still consider them not to be worth the money spent on them and would prefer to purchase more normal WarShips.
