Overview:

         The first WarSip created by the Sirian Concordance, the Primus patrol frigate was designed to give them the ability to police their space lanes without relying on anybody else to help them. The pride of the Sirian Concordance Navy, they have done well in that mission, as well as in helping to show that the Concordance is no "also ran" of interstellar polities.
         It relies on autocannons for its primary hitting strength, including a series of forward-firing WarShip-scale cannons on the flanks and wings, though missiles and some pulse lasers support the cannons when firing on smaller targets. Like the Republic ships, it carries fighters and small craft with it, and has a cargo bay large enough to keep it in space for an extended time or to transport up to a company of BattleMechs in comfort. The base structure of the Primus is similar to the other Republic ships, close enough that most experts think the Concordance "acquired" the basic specs from the Republic. They have made it look different with numerous fancy design elements, but the basic structure of the central core is there to be seen by the careful eye.
         Like other frigates its size, the Primus can land at a DropPort, and the sight of one resting while refueling is common in the Sirian Concordance. They do not sell the design to others though, so few outside the Concordance command this ship.
