Overview:

               Named after Loki, the trickster god of Norse mythology, the Loki is a different breed of WarShip than most. She is similar to the old Star League Bug-Eye-class recon ship, in that she has the same mission as that old ship. She is very different in the way she does it.
               What makes the Loki work is the Chameleon Armor that wraps around her. If offers little protection against weapons fire, but does something that no other armor does. Like the Spheroid Stealth Armor, it can make the ship hard to detect if the captain wishes, but it has far better options most of the time. Servos under the armor can move it around, actually changing the shape of the ship's outer hull to look like any WarShip or DropShip small enough to enter atmosphere. In addition, the KF drive buried in the core of the ship is designed to power down far more than others, actually taking it below the critical level where it interferes with other KF drives. A Loki can lock onto another JumpShip or WarShip to be pulled through a jump.
               The ability to blend into any known shipping fleet these two systems allow makes the Loki an impressive recon ship by themselves. The Loki is filled with advanced communications, targeting, and hacking gear, allowing them to burrow into other ship's computers and monitor or steal data from them. A single Loki can monitor the computer systems of an entire fleet, all while looking like a common merchant ship.
               When pushed into a warzone, Lokis have been known to bluff, altering their armor pattern to look like a deadly WarShip or AssaultShip. Many times this has caused an enemy to abandon a system rather than fight a "superior" enemy.
               There are a large number of Lokis in and around the Dominion, most looking like common merchant ships and just travelling from one system to another. Many are also in the navy, looking like other frigates while doing their best to hack enemy ships and monitor fleet communications.
