Overview:

         These include a variety of vehicles used for freight or military transport, including closed and open vans, tractor-trailers, and so on around 50 tons. The most common large transport vehicles are designed primarily for on-road travel, with top combat speeds of 60-70 km/hr, and moderate armor protection, but there are some designed for rougher terrain or to avoid the terrain all together.
         Military versions of the heavy transport are usually equipped with a weapon of some type (MG,SRM, LRM, or Laser), either mounted in front of the vehicle and fired by the driver, or on top of the vehicle (with or without a turret) and fired by a separate gunner. These weapons obviously take up mass that could otherwise be used for cargo, but the protection they give is often considered worth that loss.
