Overview:

The paramilitary Concordat Constabulary officers have always wanted as much armor as possible, especially in modern times as more advanced weaponry has once again become available to criminals and foreign spies. Unfortunately, even with the explosion of BattleArmor technology in the Inner Sphere, such advanced building technologies were still difficult for the Taurians to replicate in the 3060s, especially in the mass numbers required for law enforcement. Exoskeletons that are used in standard maintenance duty have been built for centuries though. Therefore, in early 3065 after being approached by the Ministry of the Interior, Taurus Territorial Industries began work on modifying their standard exoskeletons for use by law enforcement. After seeing a working prototype, the Constables ordered a second version for special forces use.

Capabilities:

The Constable has as much armor as can be place on an exoskeleton, but has no integral weaponry. It does have servos designed specifically to increase its strength and has been used to support rescue workers in disaster areas. The special forces version replaces the heavy-duty servos with speed-enhanced muscles and replaces the armor with stealth-enhanced systems.
All Constables have armored gloves that can be used to handle any standard infantry weapon. Built into the design, to support the primary mission of the Constable, is a laser microphone in the right arm, a searchlight in the left arm, and an infrared scanner in the body. Designed to be able to find criminals and spies easily, the Constable is a feared sight among both.

Deployment

The Constable is seen throughout the Trinity Alliance, mainly used by law enforcement offices and the Concordat Constabulary. Also, the Colonial Marshals use them for training purposes, and many Marshals look back on these suits with fondness, remembering their time spent in them. The Constable II is most often used by special forces units of law enforcement offices, or by the Concordat Constabulary itself.
