Reporting Bugs

I've no doubt that there are bugs in QuickMech that I haven't experienced. If you notice one, please let me know so I can fix it.
If you report a bug is is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL that you tell me precisely how to recreate the bug for myself.  Without this info I will ignore it - not because I'm rude, or because I don't care, but because it will just be too hard for me to find, if not impossible.

If a bug relates to a particular .mtf file, please email the file with your explanation.

If you can *save* an illegal mech design, that is a bug (there are many other sorts of possible bugs also).

Please don't report anything from the Issues tab (but feel free to give feedback on them).

First, an explanation of the files inside the .jar file (you can open up a .jar file like a .zip or .rar)
* icon.png : the icon image for QuickMech
* fourLegForm.png : the image for a Quad record sheet (currently just a slightly modified Biped sheet)
* twoLegForm.png : the image for a Biped record sheet
* twoLegFormLocs : a plain text file containing pixel locations for the biped record sheet
* fourLegFormLocs : a plain text file containing pixel locations for the quad record sheet
* isWeapons : a plain text file with data for IS weapons and equipment
* clanWeapons : a plain text file with data for Clan weapons and equipment
* mtfNames : the aliases for equipment from MegaMek
* docs directory : plain text files containing the text shown in tabs of the About window
* icon directory : images used for the weapons tree icons

Improvements you could contribute
* design a better looking icon
* design better looking art for the record sheets
* design a whole new dedicated quad record sheet, complete with a new fourLegFormLocs locations file
* find errors in the weapons or ammo data
* redesign the biped record sheet layout, complete with a new locations file
* general feedback on things I've done wrong, or things that could be done better
* answer the questions in the Questions section below

If you'd like to do something that could be a lot of work (say, new art and locations for a quad record sheet) perhaps email me a rough draft first so that I can ok it. I would hate for someone to contribute hours of work only for me to say "Sorry, it doesn't meet requirement X"!

Questions (from me to you...)

* Is standard/any narc ammo explosive, for the purposes of BV?
* For BV, should the total BV of AMS ammo be reduced if excessive?
* Are torpedoes just another ammo type for LRM/SRM, or a separate weapon?
* When calculating costs for one shot Artemis launchers, in what order should I multiply by half, and add 100,000?
* Is the cost of a Clan active probe the same as a Beagle active probe? And Guardian ECM for Clan ECM?
* What is the cost of a Clan light active probe, and where is that information?
